40th Anniversary Celebration

In 1970 the Sun Inn was set for demolition by the City of Bethlehem. However, a group of Bethlehemites, led by Hughetta Bender, formed the Sun Inn Preservation Association to raise funds to purchase the Sun Hotel and surrounding properties.

In 1982 the Sun Inn Preservation Association restored the building to its original 1758 form.
