Think of Bethlehem as an architectural museum of sorts.
The oldest part of the city along Church Street includes the 1741 Gemeinhaus, the largest 18th–century log structure in continuous use in the United States.
Around the corner stretches historic Main Street. It is bookended by the elegant 1922 Hotel Bethlehem — which Winston Churchill and Amelia Earhart patronized — and the 1758 Sun Inn, where John Adams and Alexander Hamilton once slept.
