This cherry infused special cordial originated in the 18th century. A favorite of General Washington and he often carried a canteen of it for trips across the Alleghany Mountains. Martha Washington made it for him and we use her recipe. A sweet and tart favorite of ours is great served at room temperature, chilled or even poured over vanilla ice cream for a wonderful adult treat. Other ways to use Cherry Bounce include in hot chocolate, with champagne or add some club soda (spiked or regular).
